Hi folks, this is my first blog. I had been contemplating on starting my own blog from the past three years..but somehow it never happened. When my son Vishnu came to visit us last Dec, he pushed me into starting this blog and here I am...thanks Vishnu

Ingredients
One cup of low fat yoghurt
Two tbsp of Chickpea flour
Three cups of water
A bunch of fresh methi leaves finely chopped
Two cloves of Garlic
Two green chillies
Salt to taste
A tsp of turmeric powder
For seasoning
A tsp of hing
A tsp of cumin seeds
A tsp of mustard
Few sprigs of Curry leaves
Method
Add the yoghurt, water, chickpea flour, salt and turmeric powder to a bowl and whisk it well
Put the above yoghurt mixture on a low flame on the gas and keep stirring inbetween.
Take a pan and add a tbsp of Olive oil...add the cumin,hing, mustard, curry leaves and the green chillies
Once they start spluttering add the finely chopped methi leaves.
Saute the methi leaves along with the seasoning for two minutes or so. The methi leaves should retain the green color.
Add the methi leaves along with the seasoning into the pot of yoghurt mixture which has been cooking on a low flame. Now keep the flame on a high and cook the whole mixture for not more than three to five minutes.
A healthy and hot Methi kadhi is ready. Have it with hot rice or roties.
